Mr. Whitten, writer, musician, artist, who lives on a small farm in Washington State  with his wife, Merry. He also shares his life with a Golden Retriever Bodhi, and eight pampered hens.

Mr. Whitten is a retired Clinical Social Worker who worked for the Veterans Administration and in Private Practice. He specialized in dealing with Trauma, both individually and in groups. He recruited, trained, organized and led Critical Incident Stress Debriefings in Hawaii, Oregon, California, and Washington State. He has worked with, military and civilian survivors of forest fires, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, school shootings, 

and, of course, war. 

Mr Whitten is an enrolled member of the Citizens Nation Potawatomi Tribe, Shawnee, Oklahoma. He is active in Native American ceremonies and affairs. 

He is also a two-tour veteran of Vietnam having served with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment in III Corps, and with the Americal Division,  23rd Infantry in I Corps.

Mr. Whitten and his wife are currently active in protests and resistance to Trump tyranny. 

Mr. Whitten is also aware that should Trump and MAGA gain more power, he might be subject to arrest for writing against the government. Tyrants hate critics.
